Less than a month after the Colonial Pipeline ransomware attack, JBS, a major, global meat producer, announced that they had experienced a cyberattack. The company confirmed it was the target of an organized ransomware attack that affected servers supporting its North American and Australian IT systems, effectively disrupting plants in North America, Australia and Canada.


Taking immediate action as soon as the breach was discovered, and despite most operations being back up and running within days, they soon disclosed that they had paid $11 million in ransom to resolve the attack.
